Compliance at Molgas

Molgas Energy Group (parent company, subsidiaries and international investee companies) is committed to the highest compliance, ethics and sustainability standards and has become a strategic benchmark in compliance worldwide. Its standards must be complied with by all the commercial companies belonging to Molgas, according to each country’s specific requirements based on the particular legal, administrative, civil and criminal system. We provide the relevant information in our Compliance Handbook, which contains the following elements:

Compliance

In Spain, we have implemented a comprehensive system to prevent and manage legal and criminal risks at Molgas companies (our Comprehensive Compliance Model), which is regularly updated. We also have a Compliance Management System, certified according to ISO 37301, that contains all the necessary elements to keep our commercial companies operating in Spain exempt from criminal liability.

The 12 elements that make up our system include the following three aspects.

Quality and Environment

At Molgas, we maintain a continuous focus on quality and the environment across all our processes. We have documented that we take quality and the environment seriously, and we will continuously improve our financial and operational results, as well as the benefits for our customers and employees, through the following.

Molgas is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 by DNV.

Major Accident Installations

Several of Molgas’s facilities are covered by the Major Accident Regulations (Storulykkeforskriften). The regulations impose requirements on enterprises that handle large quantities of dangerous chemicals, and the purpose is to prevent major accidents and limit the consequences that major accidents may have on human health, the environment, and material assets.

Emergency Preparedness

Molgas has established an emergency preparedness system to ensure that the organization is capable of acting effectively and appropriately to mitigate harmful effects resulting from undesired incidents. Molgas’s emergency response plan addresses incidents that could affect employees, contractors, the general public, property, or the environment. Molgas cooperates with local Fire and Rescue Services in the municipalities where the facilities are located. 2nd line emergency response is the operational preparedness, which is coordinated by an external party.

In the event of serious incidents and accidents, the emergency services must be called first (110 / 112). All Molgas facilities have a 24/7 manned emergency hotline that handles Operations and Emergency Response:
